POSSIBILISTS AT WORK

UNCOMMON GROUND PODCAST WITH VAN JONES

Are we already in a cold civil war? Here are lessons to help us avoid the worst.

CIVIL WAR IN THE US?

According to an October 2020 Business Insider report, the majority of Americans believe the US is already in a cold civil war. How do we keep it from becoming a hot one? The divides can't keep getting deeper and deeper without serious consequences. What lessons can we learn from other countries to avoid the worst?

In this recent Van Jones podcast, Uncommon Ground, William Ury says the conflict doesn't need to end, it needs to be transformed. We can change the tools we use to deal with our conflicts from unhealthy to healthy ones - collaboration, negotiations, mediation, voting and democracy. It's sobering to see the warning signs of civil war in our own country. We need all hands on deck to avoid the worst.

SIDE3 IS WORKING WITH WILLIAM URY to inspire and empower American Third Siders with actionable solutions to prevent a hot war and heal the deepening divide in this country.
